Hey Douche!

Uh! Take that, ya dike........
It's a GREAT day in the L-B-K!

Wow, I can't explain what is going on here... but I haven't blogged in over 2 weeks! WTF? Usually, I think of things to say on the daily, but lately my mind has been elsewhere. Maybe I have been experiencing writer's block, I dunno, I think you have to be an actual writer to catch that. Today, however, after a long weekend of euphoria, my next topic hit me light a freight train. LUBBOCK! Paradise. One of the greatest places on Earth!
Say whaaaaat?
If you spell out every single number, beginning with one, you will NOT use the letter "a" until yo reach "one thousAnd".
It is estimated that at any given time, .07% of the World's population are drunk.

Stayin' at Stan's

This is my beautiful mother, and her father, Stan. My mom is so fun to mess with. In the past few years, I have grown to love torturing my mother in a different way than I always have. Rather than riddling her life with worry and constant delinquency, I have decided to take a new route to getting her all flustered; I just tell her about all of the terrible things that I did which she never found out about. She HATES it! I don't know if it's because she just doesn't want to hear about the terrible things I did, or because it makes her feel incredibly stupid and oblivious to her children's whereabouts and hobbies. It is definitely not because she did not expect those things of me. So, Mom, here is a little story about staying the night with Stan the Man.

Me. A microphone. Love in the air. Freestyle flow battle in Billy's backyard. Truly outshining any of my 10 performances of Juicy by Biggie on karaoke. Every time one of the boys gets into a good groove, Kelli interrupts like she is about the shut the club down. Just as you think she is about to lay down some Dwayne Carter shit, she quickly gives an unwarranted introduction for "Al on the mike" and puts me on the spot. She is the Cheddar Bob to my Rabbit!

2. You can't escape him! He is everywhere! Lil Wayne has guest starred in probably 500 songs since the New Year. Good luck with that.

Handbook to Life
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
11. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don’t have negative thoughts over things you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don’t overdo. Keep your limits.
14. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. Be grateful for what you have been given.
18. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
21. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away (like algebra class) but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
22. Smile and laugh more.
23. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Society:
24. Call your family often.
25. Each day give something good to others.
26. Forgive.
27. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
28. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
32. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
33. God heals everything.
34. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
35. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
36. The best is yet to come.
37. When you awake alive in the morning, thank God for it.
38. Your inner most is always happy. So, be happy.
Okay, you're a Goon, what's a Goon to a Goblin?
Relentless

Okay, obviously, this isn't my picture.... I am using it to give you an idea of what went on in my car for approximately 25 minutes after I purchased a CAR STICKY PAD!!! Holy Hotdogs! These things are incredible! I don't know if they're made out of Flubber or what, but they freakin' work. You can literally "hang" something from your dashboard just by setting it on a sticky pad. Vertical surface? No problem! All my days of fumbling shit around my car are over. I might even use one to hang something on the wall in my apartment!
SUP'ing, Stand Up Paddling :)

After running at Town Lake this morning, I was by myself, done with my lunges, waiting for Kelli to run a freakin' marathon route, and watching the SUP'ers. I have been seeing them for weeks now, and wanting to do it so bad. So, today, I buried my fear of water, and signed up. COOLEST thing I have ever done! Though I was scared at first, it really isn't that hard. You hafta stay balanced, of course, but it's like riding a bike after that. I soon master the speed paddle, the spin-turn, and even did a little moving around on my board. In 45 minutes, I paddled like 2 miles, and had the time of my life! I started to head back, and feel the kick-ass arm and oblique work-out I was getting. The sun was on my Ginger skin, and I felt like a million bucks. As I stopped to soak in all that is my awesome Saturday, just before I pulled back into dock..... BAYUM! Imbalance hit me like a ton of bricks! The water was chilly, so I had my ass right back up in no time. My work-out gear was no match for the lake, and my wife-beater quickly sank to my knees with all of 20 pounds. I paddled back to shore, walked bare-footed back to the car, met Kelli, and was still over-come with happiness. We went to my fave place, Galaxy Cafe, and I was so soaking wet and cold! But I don't care! I LOVE SUP'ing!!!
I'm callin' your bluff, ma'am.
"I am deaf. I cannot hear you. Please give me a donation so I can help my deaf family."
Call me evil, but I don't give a shit, and am absolutely positive that you are full of it! We deny, hand her back the card, and she moves onto the next table. She leans over the railing and hands them the card. There's more of them, but don't worry she has more cards! Under the pizza, and the Nokia that has "Snake" on it, she locates the back-up cards, and hands them out with marinara on her fingers. I knew this would be good judging by the ridiculousness that this table had displayed earlier. We start to banter and yell and call her bluff. As she is trying to play pictionary with 6 drunk tards, Bill yells, "You're not deaf!" She TOTALLY heard him and looked right at him! Bayum! Gotchya!
Wait! The drunk blonde says she knows sign language! We wait anxiously to see if we can realllllly bust her. They start doing some crazy stuff back and forth, people are yelling, laughing, all of which while America's Next Top Model juggles pizza crust and index cards. As we were hootin' and hollerin' the blonde stands up and screams at us, "Shut up! I can't hear!" ha! Really? It was awesome! The blonde girl gives her a dollar and she scampers. Translated, it was the blonde introducing herself, and then homegirl repeating the blonde's name back to her. "WTF?", I think to myself. Apparently, (according the Plastered Barbie) this is customary for sign-introduction, but she still never revealed her own name.
When we asked the girl why she thought homegirl deserved the bill, she said because she respected the fact that she spoke to her, and the lady communicated back. Pssschhh, it was such a joke! I asked, "So, since I can communicate back to you right now, can I have a dollar?"
Either way, it was thoroughly entertaining! I wonder how you sign in Chinese? Or Spanish? Is it different?
